Great Day to celebrate basketball talents

We had a great day of boys basketball hoops at the Hardwood Challenge.

We appreciate the coaches giving their time and energy to coach these boys to work on team concepts and celebrating their God given talents by playing hard together.  We thank the parents and fans who came out to support their boys in this event.

A special thanks to our officials who did a great job in officiating and keeping the games flowing well.  This a job that often does not get the appreciation it deserves.  Without solid officials, it is easy for teams to have a poor experience and we thank this years group for helping create a great experience.  Officials for Hardwood Challenge were: Harmon Krause, Scott Beekman, Tim Bass, Brian Onken, Warren Cook, Wayne Cook, Brett Harmening, Randy Hein, Justin Daly, Michael Fixen, and Chris Baumberger.   THANK YOU!!

We would also like to thank a number of people who volunteered their time in helping with score keeping, concessions, and other tasks.  These people were:  Saugstad family, Crystal Reitsma, Jake and Pam Hess, Rog and Jan Reitsma, Jen Reitsma and boys, Trey Lance, Brian and Spencer Smith, Sueker Family, Josh and Tate Varpness, David and Isaac Loe, Jacob Falconer, Brad Winkelman, and Kelsey Saugstad.  Things went smoothly and was on schedule due to your great assistance.

We also appreciate the great working relationship with tournament sponsor Borchs Sporting Goods in Marshall.  They know gear and how to meet your needs in a timely and effective manner.  Our tournament divisional winners are enjoying their excellent products.  Visit them for your team and personal sporting good needs.

We also appreciate the Marshall Hoops Club in their support of our tournament with a special thanks to Scott Baker in helping coordinate teams.  We also like the thanks the janitor and facilities staff of Marshall High School.  What a great facility.
